Sheet cutting from coils or from sheets
straightened with circular shears.It is recommended that the pole manufacturing process starts from such processes, rather than other systems, like plasma cutting.
OMM designs and manufactures special
bending presses, dedicated exclusively to the manufacturing of poles.
The OMM production line is based on four synchronised presses, each with a 3500 mm width,
150 tons/linear meter power, and vertical opening up to 1500 mm. The extraction unit and the
die with variable V are CNC driven. 
Presses can be equipped with a system for automatic marking and bending of the trapezium, with no operators. This system enables the production of identical side bent poles.

The press is equipped with fast changing dies, to manufacture polygonal and circular conical poles, and Quality Identification Code.
Automatic welding machine for poles.
Welding process can be MIG - MAG, SAW single wire and SAW twin arc and the same machine can
weld single, double and triple shell poles. This welding machine is able to weld polygonal conical poles
(from 6 to 32 sides or more) or circular conical poles.- diameter from 60 to 650 mm, with thickness from 3 to 8 mm;
- diameter from 150 to 1200 mm, with thickness from 3 to 12 mm: this welding machine can weld single or double shll poles, with single head or twin welding heads;
- welding machine for diameters upto 1900 mm, triple shell and heavy thicknesses.
Hot system: the pole is straightened during welding.
The OMM welding machine features an innovative and flameless system for straightening the pole during welding operations.
System for pulling and guiding the pole during welding.
This system allows to align the pole before and after the welding machine, thus obtaining an uninterrupted
and uniform welding of the pole. The penetration is adjustable up to 100%.

Plasma cutting robot. This robot performs
the cutting of the door opening with a 0.5 mm width, and without any visual piercing mark: thus the
cut piece can be recovered and used as cover.
Automatic finishing line for poles, including:- Robot system for internal and external welding of base plates.
- Automatic assembly and welding of base gussets.
- Drilling and welding system for top bolts.
- Bending machines for lamp holding arms, and edge tapering.
